Cornelia and Couch Potato Make Lunch

Our two mascots, Cornelia (a corncob) and Couch Potato (a potato) show that salads can be exciting and creative. Salads can be spiced up with whatever fruits and veggies you like, and often with food already in the kitchen, so they don't have to cost a lot.

Couch Potato is seen first making a lunch plate of colorful foods, such as candy, chips, etc. Cornelia advises Couch to add some greens. Couch takes her suggestion literally and his idea of “greens” is to make a plate of green candy, chips, etc. Cornelia realizes his literal interpretation and advises him to add “greens” such as lettuce. Couch’s first attempt is a very boring, unappetizing plate of just lettuce and a few carrots. Cornelia advises him to get creative and spice up the salad by adding colorful fruits and vegetables, and other foods such as grilled chicken. She tells the audience that salads can be made with food you have in the kitchen already, so they don’t have to cost a lot, and when you eat right, you have more energy to play and have fun!
