On the Go Snack Boxes

A middle schooler shares a great tip for older kids on the go: wash and cut up a variety of favorite fruits and veggies and store them in individual snack boxes. Put one box in your backpack each morning and you will always have a healthy snack no matter how busy your day.

This is a very simple process. But how does the food stay cold all day? What about the "danger zone"? Still has merits.

Use a frozen gel pack to keep food cold; these are inexpensive and reusable.
